My name is Stephanie Singh-Highfold, I’m a proud Ngarrindjeri, Kokatha, Warlpiri woman from Adelaide, SA. I am the owner and artist of Nabanunga – Contemporary Aboriginal Art which I named after my skin name given to me by Emily Rankine, a Warlpiri woman from Ali Curung, north of Alice Springs where I was born.
My connection to country is with Raukkan on my mother’s side located on the shores of Lake Alexandrina southeast of Adelaide. I’m Kokatha on my father’s side who are originally from Koonibba northwest of Ceduna.
My journey started in 2020 when I turned a hobby into a business. My vision for Nabanunga is to celebrate First Nations people and culture through my art which plays an integral part on the path to Reconciliation in Australia.

Jersey Design

At the heart of the artwork sits a central depiction of the stadium, with the club’s colours flowing through it, connecting the surrounding players and coach. Encircling this core are smaller U-shaped figures representing staff, volunteers, members, fans, and the broader South Australian community, all united in their strong support for the club.

In the upper corner, a magpie appears as a guardian of the land, watching over the club and its people. Extending outward, smaller community elements link the club to its past, symbolising previous venues, while accompanying footprints reflect the journey of members as they move toward their new home.

Along the base, five prominent U-shaped figures honour the club’s legends, who continue to watch over. Surrounding the composition, blue leaves signify healing and strength, while a trail of white dots flowing toward the centre represents the club’s journey, achievements, and enduring connection to Kaurna land.
